Connect Classroom Learning to Real World Experiences

As a Teacher, you understand the need for education to be relevant and valuable to students. You know that hands-on, real-world experiences have the ability to provide students with impactful knowledge that will guide them on their paths to success.

Your Future Fox Cities enables Teachers to easily connect with local business professionals who want to share their knowledge, expertise and passion. Registered Teachers are able to search for professionals for career-based learning experiences in order to link classroom learning to the workforce.

The Educator Process:

STEP 1 - Create an Account

Creating an account is simple! (NOTE: If your school is not currently registered on Your Future Fox Cities, you will need to contact the Fox Cities Chamber team to get your school and school Admin account setup.)

  1. Click on Register in the top right of your screen. The registration form will then open. You will need to fully complete the form by correctly entering all of your information.
  2. Email - Enter your school e-mail address.
  3. First Name - Enter your first name.
  4. Last Name - Enter your last name.
  5. User Type - Select EDUCATOR from the dropdown menu.
  6. School - Select your school from the dropdown menu. (NOTE: If your school is not listed here, please contact your designated Site Admin or the team at the Fox Cities Chamber by using the Contact form.)
  7. Review all of your entered information for misspellings and accuracy. Any incorrect information may result in your account not working correctly.
  8. Click REGISTER once complete.

STEP 2 - Get Approval

After you click REGISTER, an email will be automatically sent to your school's dedicated Site Admin for approval of your Teacher account. 

The Site Admin will verify your account in the email and you will then be sent a series of emails to access your account. If you DO NOT see any emails come through from Your Future Fox Cities, please check your SPAM or Junk folder in your email.

  1. The first email you receive after your account is verified will contain a website link (URL) for you to obtain your account password.
  2. After you click on the link, you will then receive a second email with your computer-generated password. This password will be long and tricky - you will have the opportunity to update the password to something you can remember once you log into your account.
  3. You can now access the website. Simply click on LOGIN in the upper right of your screen and enter your email address and computer-generated password.
  4. You now have access to browse the website and download resources - ENJOY!


If you want to change your password once you are logged into your account, you can click on your name in the upper right and update your profile.

STEP 3 - Manage Student Accounts

As a Teacher, you'll need to verify students when they register and manage your students applications within the website in order for them to have access and apply for opportunities.

  1. You will receive an email stating you have a student to verify in Your Future Fox Cities.
  2. Log into your account in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on Educators > Manage Users.
  4. Under the Verify Students tab, select the student that needs to be verified.
  5. Then, click 'Send email verification to selected users'. An email will be sent directly to the Student for them to follow the steps and retrieve their password to access the site.
  6. The Student's account will then be listed under the Active Students tab.

STEP 4 - Approve Student Opportunities

As a Teacher, you will also need to approve (or decline) of your Students' career-based learning opportunities before they can contact an employer. This step is critical in order to ensure your Student is indeed ready and prepared to complete the opportunity.

  1. You will receive an email once your Student applies for an opportunity. The message will prompt you to log into Your Future Fox Cities.
  2. Log into your account in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Click on Educators > Applications
  4. New Student requests will be listed under the NEW REQUESTS section. 
  5. If you think the opportunity is a good fit for the Student, click Approve. An email will then be generated and sent to the Student notifying them of approval and providing them with the employer contact information.
  6. If the opportunity request is not a good fit for the Student, click Decline. You will then need to personally connect with the Student to help them understand your decision and assist them in finding a more suitable career-based learning experience. (NOTE: Once declined, the Student can then apply for another opportunity.)

STEP 5 - Review Completed Opportunities

Teacher can review completed Students opportunities once Students complete the Exit Survey.

  1. Log into your account on Your Future Fox Cities.
  2. Click on Educators > Completed Opportunities
  3. Here you'll see a list of the completed Student career-based learning experiences.

STEP 6 - Apply for Educator Opportunities

Teachers can utilize Your Future Fox Cities to apply for Educator Opportunities, such as bringing a classroom guest speaker or taking a tour of a local business.

  1. Log into your account on Your Future Fox Cities. 
  2. Click on Educators > Explore Opportunities
  3. You can search by a specific career cluster or by using the filter options for Category or Career Cluster.
  4. Once you find an opportunity of interest, select the button next to the opportunity and click Submit Request.
  5. A new screen will open, prompting you to create a new message for the employer.
  6. Click Send once your message is complete.
  7. An email will be generated and sent directly to the employer. They will either approve or decline the request. You will receive an email with their approval or if they declined.
  8. If approved, you'll receive their contact information to schedule the request.

STEP 7 - Delete Students

Teachers can delete Student accounts in the system, if needed.

  1. Log into your account on Your Future Fox Cities.
  2. Go to Educators > Manage Users
  3. Click on the tab for Active Students.
  4. Select the Student that you wish to deactivate and click the button for 'Deactivate Student'.
